Supporting research

The TALAN Foundation works upstream from other organizations. It
aims to promote research to better understand, identify
and intervene in neurodevelopmental disorders. The TALAN Foundation thus contributes to offering quality services based on the
most recent scientific discoveries.

Our Research

For concrete solutions

The TALAN Foundation offers concrete solutions by providing 1) scholarships for excellence to university students whose research project is related to TALAN and 2) support for research projects at the Laboratoire d'études en neuropsychologie de l'enfant et de l'adolescent (LÉNEA) at the Université de Montréal.

1-17

%

A recent study suggests that neurodevelopmental disorders, of which TALAN is one, affect between 1 and 17% of individuals, depending on the disorder(Francés and colleagues, 2022).

5-15

%

Between 5 and 15% of school-aged children have a specific learning disability, the most common being dyslexia-dysorthography.
